Types of Bearings
Bearings are used in applications like medical devices, steering components and farm equipments. The systems that require a proper motion and rigidity, bearings are used in those equipments to provide stability to the working of the equipments. Bearings have become reliable parts for the systems and therefore their requirement has increased in the past decade. There are a number of bearings that are used for different purpose.
A ball bearing is used in steel housing for the purpose to maintain the separation in form of steel balls in between the moving components of the system. The load and fiction needs support that is provided by the ball bearings. There are two channels that are used with balls that help in the transmission of loads with the help of the balls.
A spherical is used for two rotations in two directions, angular and central. The spherical bearing has an inner ring and outer ring that are separated from each other by locking features. Generally, one can find spherical bearings in car suspension systems.
Other type of bearings is needle roller bearings used for absorption of loads and reduction of fiction. These are generally used when the speed of the shafts is low.
